In August of 2019, Transplants for Children hired me to attend an event and produce two videos from it (a two-minute video and a thirty-second version). The primary audience for the videos is Transplants for Children families and the secondary audience is current and potential donors for the program. Both videos will air on TFC’s social media channels and at family/donor presentations.
Their supportive and inspiring Stars program matches Stars Mentors (young adults who’ve been through and, in many cases, are still going through, their transplant journeys) with Rising Stars (children and teens who are going through their transplant journeys). Stars Mentors guide and support transplant young adults by teaching key skills around successful academics, learning leadership skills through service to others, and medical adherence. Rising Stars who complete the program earn a scholarship to the post high school trade school, college, or university of their choice.
