NIGERIA SECURITY STATUS WORSEN AS POLCE AND ARMY ENGAGED ONE ANOTHER

Recently, the Nigerian Police had an head-on collision with the Nigerian Army in an attempt to arrest a suspected notorious kidnapping kingpin.

To explain their different roles in the unfortunate incident, public statements have been flowing both ways. The President, Federal Republic of Nigeria was said to have held a close door meeting with security chiefs earlier today apparently to iron out how next to go about the country’s security challenges.

Was the mishap of setting free the notorious kidnapping kingpin discussed at the president’s close door meeting? One would not be very clear. But one thing was clear – The war of words continues as the police have released another on its Twitter Handle barely four hours ago, apparently after the president’s meeting.

Watch the video clip we made from an earlier police twitter post earlier today and tap on the link below to read the latest police release on the issue at hand : https://twitter.com/PoliceNG/status/1159516082123759618?s=19

The question on the lips of commentator spoke with by our reporters were : Won’t it be disastrous if the police encounter had been by a private security agency? It would have been total disaster during the clash and after as the private security agency would have completely lost its voice in the face of superior government relationship with the other side – ARMY.

How comfortable would the members of the general public be now that its now known that even the police could be in this kind of an open mess.

What has happened to our Security and Intelligence networking in government security agencies?

The government of President Muhammad Buhari would definitely need to wade into this crisis if only to reassure members of the general public that all is well.

Yet! The main question remains “Where is the Alhaji Hamisu Bala Wadume” the suspected kidnapping kingpin inadvertently released in the face off.
