The school was founded by Regina Sengeny with the sponsorship of Outside GO. With the generous donations of GO travelers and Outside GO, the school has grown significantly, and the faculty are planning on continuing expansion so that their students can attend the school through older ages. The school is inclusive of students from all backgrounds. The kids are taught in Swahili, as well as English, and they follow a very similar school system to the US. The kids are taught not only the typical reading, math, and language skills, but they are also taught life skills, such as trading, and selling as those are key parts of the Maasai lifestyle. The teaching is also very hands-on. The students are eager to show you what they are learning. The kids love to learn and are clearly engaged.
