His name according to history was Chief George, his daughter was my grandmother Annie George who married to Chief James Humchitt from Hope Island (northern tip of Vancouver Island). Annie George was from Blunden Harbour or Bah-as. Chief JAMES Humchitt was relocated to the Hudson’s Trading Post Company , which is now Fort Rupert, (T’sakis). During my fathers times, he never spoke of his history of the Big House era, this was against the Governments policies to civilize us First Nations people, introducing the Residential School system, yes, this is where I express my opinions with this account. These masks have to be brought back to perform their dances again, when I have made the necessary tools, I will revive them, for they belonged to my grandfather. Hae-em
