Bristol cloth is a pioneering regenerative textile system based entirely within the UK, using a cottage industry model of local, independently owned specialist businesses. Using carbon sequestering and soil regenerating fibre farming, organic plant dyes and small scale weaving mill, all within a 15 mile radius of Bristol. To offer not only sustainable but regenerative textiles for the UK market. Championing heritage British craft and sustaining British culture, community, land and economy.
Bristol Cloth is made with 100% lambswool from Fernhill Farm in the Mendip Hills near Bristol, dyed with organic plant dyes by Botanical Inks and woven at the Bristol Weaving Mill.
The first 200 metres of cloth was collectively funded via a crowdfunder in January 2019 and is currently being produced. A second production of Bristol Cloth is now available to pre-order via the Bristol Cloth website: http://www.bristolcloth.co.uk/shop
Please support this emerging responsible business by ordering cloth and scarves.
