Frank Rusconi (1874 – 1964) quarry owner and monumental Mason of Gundagai NSW, Australia. He was born at Araluen near Braidwood, NSW, the son of a Swiss goldminer and monumental mason. After Franks mothers death, the family returned to Switzerland and as a
15 year old child started an apprenticeship in Italy and Switzerland in the marble trade.
Rusconi returned to New South Wales in 1901 to work with his brother and father in a marble quarry at Borenore, near Orange NSW which they had discovered and developed.
Franks notable works included: the Dog on the Tuckerbox; the Marble Masterpiece (a miniature building constructed of 20,948 individual pieces of marble); and the Marble from his quarry was used in St Mary Cathedral and The Royal Palace, England.
